Following the signing of the Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the Republic of Seychelles on Exemption of Visas for Diplomatic and Official Passports on 27 February 2018, both sides have completed their internal procedures for the entry into force of the said Agreement.

In this regard, from 1 May 2019, nationals of the Kingdom of Thailand, holding valid diplomatic or official passports of the Government of Thailand and nationals of the Republic of Seychelles, holding valid diplomatic or official passports of the Government of the Republic of Seychelles, shall be exempted from visa requirements to enter into, stay in, transit through, or leave the territory of the other Contracting Party for the period of not exceeding ninety (90) days from the date of their entry.

ความตกลงว่าด้วยการยกเว้นการตรวจลงตราสำหรับผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทางทูตและราชการระหว่างไทยกับเซเชลส์ด้วยรัฐบาลไทยและรัฐบาลเซเชลส์ได้ลงนามความตกลงว่าด้วยการยกเว้นการตรวจลงตราสำหรับผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทางทูตและราชการ เมื่อวันที่ 27 กุมภาพันธ์ 2561 ซึ่งขณะนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้ดำเนินการตามกระบวนการภายในของตนเพื่อให้ความตกลงมีผลบังคับใช้ เสร็จสิ้นแล้ว

ในการนี้ นับตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 พฤษภาคม 2562 เป็นต้นไป ผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทางทูตและราชการของทั้งสองประเทศที่ยังมีอายุใช้งานได้ จะไม่ต้องขอรับการตรวจลงตราเพื่อเดินทางเข้า เดินทางออก และผ่านดินแดนของอีกฝ่ายหนึ่ง ณ ด่านเข้าเมืองระหว่างประเทศ และจะได้รับอนุญาตให้พำนักอยู่ในดินแดนของอีกฝ่ายหนึ่งเป็นระยะเวลาไม่เกิน 90 วัน นับตั้งแต่วันที่เดินทางเข้าประเทศ
